Finally got a visit with the endocrine doctor on getting my sugars in line. I was running high the entire time I was released from the hospital the first time. They stripped all the medication I was taking before being in the hospital and put my on insulin. The instructions and dosing kept my sugars high and sometimes very high for several days.
After meeting with endocrine we got set up with a Dexcom device which continuously measures glucose all day and all night. Give me nice little graph and current reading right on a app on the phone. Also gives me an alarm if I am having very high readings.
I also had different brands of insulins prescriptions that matched up better with what insurance would cover. He also gave me a better dosing schedule which did bring my glucose down.
