Since I was on hold with the radiation procedure on the eye I called my local ophthalmologist to see if she had any other ideas on treating this eye. She really didn’t as she didn’t see this very often if ever. She did have a contact with a Plastic Surgeon that worked on the eyes at the eye institute at UNMC.
I did come into her office as she wanted to see if the pressures in my eye may have changed due to the spot. She also took some pictures of the retina to see how the edma (swelling) may have changed. She said it looked worst than what she seen back in October.
Later that day I did get a call from the doctor at UNMC. He asked a bunch of questions and said there was nothing he could do for me with what his specialty is. But that he had another doctor in the clinic that was interested in seeing me as he does work with cancer of the eye. So a spark of hope for treating the eye.
